Sam Moon Trading Co.

Client: Sam Moon Group is a major retailer in Texas with 3 shopping centers located in Dallas, Frisco and Houston Texas.  The group also owns Coyote Ridge Golf course in the Dallas area.  Along with being a top retailer in the Dallas area, its Houston location launched in October of 2006.

Challenge: Sam Moon Trading Co., the retail chain owned by the group was to launch its newest location in the Houston, Texas market.  Along with providing ongoing public relations and advertising work, TROVADA DAVIS was tasked with development of a strategic plan for the Houston center location launch.

Action: Beginning with planning for the event schedules and arranging for television, radio and print coverage for the newest Houston location.  This plan included the coordinating of all grand opeing event activities.  TROVADA DAVIS launched a full event coverage initiative that included development of all press materials, event coverage and full public relations drive to capture a large share of the media's attention for the event.

Result: Sam Moon Trading Co. was recieved by the city council for the Woodlands, Texas area of Houston with a full ribbon cutting ceremony which was covered in all of the local major and community publications.  Television was on-hand for the event along with radio mentions all coordinated in a strategic layout to attain maximum impact. 

The opening day of the center TROVADA DAVIS had accomplished its mission with more than 500 parking spaces filled with consumers entering to see the legend that has opened its doors in the Houston market.  Today the Houston center enjoys the benefit of having a successful center in full operation in the North Houston area of Woodland, Texas
